I enjoy bicycling, gardening, Scrabble, and politics.
I have been the organizer of a Scrabble club in Davis Square since 2009. I have had a NASPA rating in the past, but I have not participated in any tournaments in several years.
As of 2017, I serve as an appointed member of the City of Cambridge’s Recycling Advisory Committee. We advise the city on issues related to recycling, composting, and waste reduction targets. Cambridge has a zero waste initiative and we are currently working hard to meet our target waste reduction goal.
In November, 2016, I started Neighborhood Action for Hope and Change, a small group of mostly parents with young children in my neighborhood of North Cambridge. We meet in person monthly and on Slack to discuss, plan, and participate in the political process along the lines of the Indivisible movement. For working parents, it can be hard to participate, and this group has been a meaningful addition to our lives.
